Medtronic Simplera signal loss: what the maker says to do
A Lost communication alert means the Simplera app and sensor have not talked for 30 minutes. Causes include the app being closed by the phone, the phone out of range, radio interference, or the sensor pulled out. (Medtronic user guide, p. 45)
What the maker says to do
- Open the Simplera app and make sure it is running.
- Keep the phone within 20 feet (6 meters) of the sensor, on the same side of the body.
- Move away from cordless phones, routers and other radio sources.
- Check the sensor is still inserted; if it pulled out, use a new sensor.
Simplera (standalone) sends readings to the Simplera app on a phone; Simplera Sync pairs with the MiniMed 780G pump, and the MiniMed Mobile app is a secondary display for the pump.
