Medtronic Simplera warm-up: how long it takes
Warm-up is 2 hours for Simplera and Simplera Sync, with no readings until it ends. For the first 12 hours, use a meter reading for treatment decisions. (Medtronic user guide, p. 32; Medtronic user guide, p. 24; Medtronic user guide, p. 23; Medtronic)
What the maker says to do
- Pair the new sensor with the phone, or with the 780G pump for Simplera Sync.
- Wait 2 hours for the first sensor glucose reading.
- Use a blood glucose meter for treatment decisions during the first 12 hours.
Simplera (standalone) sends readings to the Simplera app on a phone; Simplera Sync pairs with the MiniMed 780G pump, and the MiniMed Mobile app is a secondary display for the pump.
