Medtronic Simplera sensor error
Change sensor means the sensor is not working and must be replaced. Sensor updating can last up to 2 hours with no readings; Connection error means the sensor is trying to reconnect. Use a meter during these times. (Medtronic user guide, p. 32; Medtronic)
What the maker says to do
- On Change sensor, insert a new sensor.
- On Sensor updating or Connection error, wait and check glucose with a meter.
- If Sensor updating lasts more than 3 hours, replace the sensor and contact Medtronic.
Simplera (standalone) sends readings to the Simplera app on a phone; Simplera Sync pairs with the MiniMed 780G pump, and the MiniMed Mobile app is a secondary display for the pump.
