CGM features and fixes · Medtronic Simplera
Medtronic Simplera alarms not sounding
The Simplera app sends no alerts if notifications or Critical Alerts are off, if the app is force-closed, if Bluetooth is off, or if Screen Time Downtime or Android Digital Wellbeing blocks it. Power saving can delay alerts. (Medtronic user guide, p. 15; Medtronic user guide, p. 14)
What the maker says to do
- Allow Notifications and Critical Alerts (iPhone) or Do Not Disturb permission (Android) for the Simplera app.
- Keep Bluetooth on, even in airplane mode.
- Do not force close the app, and open it again after the phone restarts.
- Turn off Screen Time Downtime (iPhone) or the Digital Wellbeing app timer (Android) for the app.
- On iPhone, turn on Vibrate on silent.
Simplera (standalone) sends readings to the Simplera app on a phone; Simplera Sync pairs with the MiniMed 780G pump, and the MiniMed Mobile app is a secondary display for the pump.
