Does the FreeStyle Libre 3 and 3 Plus alert followers on signal loss?
What FreeStyle Libre 3 and 3 Plus’s own apps (Libre app, FreeStyle Libre 3 app, LibreLinkUp) do, from the maker’s documents.
Yes
The Libre app's Signal Loss Alarm fires after 20 minutes without sensor data, and is on by default. In LibreLinkUp, a follower of a US Libre 3 wearer can turn on a No Recent Data alert and choose its time period. (Abbott)
In the US, Abbott's Libre app replaces the FreeStyle Libre 3 app, whose App Store listing says it is not the latest app.
With Glide
Yes
After 30 minutes without a reading (you can set 15 or more), every phone on the profile gets a lost signal banner. Overnight, in the hours you choose, Glide can also call a phone (Premium). (/libre)
