Does the FreeStyle Libre 2 and 2 Plus alert followers on signal loss?
What FreeStyle Libre 2 and 2 Plus’s own apps (Libre app, FreeStyle Libre 2 app, LibreLinkUp) do, from the maker’s documents.
Partly
The Libre app's Signal Loss Alarm fires after 20 minutes without sensor data, and is on by default. For a US Libre 2 wearer, LibreLinkUp offers low, high and urgent low alerts but its settings list has no No Recent Data alert; that alert is listed for Libre 2 accounts outside the US. (Abbott)
In the US, Abbott's Libre app replaces the FreeStyle Libre 2 app for new sensors. LibreLinkUp alert settings for Libre 2 differ by the country of the wearer's LibreView account: the US list has no No Recent Data alert.
With Glide
Yes
After 30 minutes without a reading (you can set 15 or more), every phone on the profile gets a lost signal banner. Overnight, in the hours you choose, Glide can also call a phone (Premium). (/libre)
