Does the Dexcom G7 alert followers on signal loss?
What Dexcom G7’s own apps (Dexcom G7 app, Dexcom Follow) do, from the maker’s documents.
Yes
In the G7 app, a Signal Loss banner shows after 2 missed readings, and the phone sounds or vibrates after about 20 minutes (you can change this). In Dexcom Follow, followers can turn on a No Data notification; it is off in the default invitation. (Dexcom user guide, p. 114; Dexcom user guide, p. 86; Dexcom user guide, p. 84)
With Glide
Yes
After 30 minutes without a reading (you can set 15 or more), every phone on the profile gets a lost signal banner. Overnight, in the hours you choose, Glide can also call a phone (Premium). (/dexcom)
