FreeStyle Libre 3 and 3 Plus alarms not sounding
The Libre app lists the causes: alarms turned off, the sensor out of range, wrong phone settings or permissions, Silent Mode on, the app closed, or (Android) the app put to sleep. (Abbott)
What the maker says to do
- Keep the phone within 33 feet of the sensor.
- Check the phone's notification settings and permissions for the app.
- Make sure Silent Mode is not on in the app.
- Keep the app open in the background.
- On Android, add Libre app to the apps that are not put to sleep.
In the US, Abbott's Libre app replaces the FreeStyle Libre 3 app, whose App Store listing says it is not the latest app.
A call when readings stop
Glide sends every phone on the profile a lost signal banner after 30 minutes without a reading, and overnight it can call a phone number you verify (Premium). How the lost-signal call works.
