CGM features and fixes · Dexcom G6
Do Dexcom G6 alarms sound in Silent mode or a Focus?
What Dexcom G6’s own apps (Dexcom G6 app, Dexcom Follow) do, from the maker’s documents.
Partly
In the G6 app, Always Sound is on by default and lets glucose alarms and alerts sound when the phone is muted or on Do Not Disturb. In Dexcom Follow, Do Not Disturb silences all notifications, so Dexcom advises followers not to use it. (App Store listing; Dexcom user guide, p. 167; Dexcom)
With Glide
Partly
Glide's banners are Time Sensitive: they can appear during a Focus that permits them, but do not bypass Silent. Its overnight call comes from a contact with Emergency Bypass on, which rings through Silent and Focus (Premium). (/lost-signal-call)
