FreeStyle Libre 2 and 2 Plus warm-up: how long it takes
Readings and alarms start 60 minutes after the sensor is started. The app sends a notification when the sensor is ready. (Abbott)
What the maker says to do
- Wait 60 minutes after starting the sensor.
- Use a blood glucose meter if you need a reading before then.
In the US, Abbott's Libre app replaces the FreeStyle Libre 2 app for new sensors. LibreLinkUp alert settings for Libre 2 differ by the country of the wearer's LibreView account: the US list has no No Recent Data alert.
