CGM features and fixes · Medtronic Simplera
Does the Medtronic Simplera alert followers on signal loss?
What Medtronic Simplera’s own apps (Simplera app, MiniMed Mobile app (Simplera Sync with MiniMed 780G), CareLink Connect) do, from the maker’s documents.
Yes
The Simplera app gives a Lost communication alert when the app and sensor have not communicated for 30 minutes. In CareLink Connect, data fields turn to dashes with a banner after 15 minutes without new data, and notifications appear when the wearer's app has no internet or is out of range. (Medtronic user guide, p. 32; Medtronic)
Simplera (standalone) sends readings to the Simplera app on a phone; Simplera Sync pairs with the MiniMed 780G pump, and the MiniMed Mobile app is a secondary display for the pump.
