Dexcom G6 sensor error
Sensor Error means the sensor cannot measure glucose right now. There are no readings or alerts until it clears, which usually takes up to 3 hours; if it does not clear, the app shows Sensor Failed. (Dexcom; Dexcom user guide, p. 222)
What the maker says to do
- Use your meter for treatment decisions.
- Do not remove the sensor.
- Make sure nothing is pressing on the sensor, like a waistband or seat belt.
- Make sure the transmitter is snapped flat in its holder.
- Wait up to 3 hours, then call Dexcom Technical Support at 1-844-607-8398 if it has not cleared.
