Follower
Also called CGM follower, Dexcom Follow, sharer, remote monitoring.
A follower is a person who sees someone else's CGM numbers on their own phone or watch, such as family and friends. With Dexcom Share, one person (the Sharer) can share with up to 10 followers, and a follower can follow up to 10 Sharers. Dexcom tells followers to confirm values on the wearer's own app or receiver before making treatment decisions. (Dexcom; Dexcom; Nightscout documentation)
Worked example
A child wears a Dexcom G7 and shares with both parents, a grandparent and the school nurse: 4 of the 10 follower slots. One parent also follows a second child, 2 of their 10 Sharer slots.
